There are two ways to upload photos of your ID to Unioo:
1) Send SMS with link
This is the recommended solution, as it’s the easiest and most secure. When you click "Send SMS link," you’ll receive an SMS with a link and instructions to follow. With this method, you can take photos of your physical ID directly within the system. The images are instantly encrypted, ensuring your data’s security.
After taking the photos, you’ll have the option to adjust and approve each image. You can approve it when the following conditions are met:
The entire card must be visible, including all corners and edges.
The image must be taken close enough to clearly read the text.
The image must not be blurry or shaky, which could make the text unclear.
The image must be in natural colors (black and white are not acceptable).
TIP: Many people take the photo with the camera too close to the card. Make sure to keep a good distance from the card (about 20–30 cm) so your camera can focus properly. Ensure there’s some space around the card in the frame. You’ll have the option to crop the image after it’s taken.
See examples here:
After you’ve taken and approved both images, you’ve completed the "ID" section—easy and secure.
2) Upload images from computer
This method is slightly less secure but still an option. Here, you can upload photos of your ID from your computer. The same requirements apply to these images as the SMS method. You can take photos of your ID with your phone or a digital camera and transfer them to your computer in a folder you can easily find.
Once you’ve uploaded the images from your computer, they are encrypted and securely stored by Unioo. We recommend deleting the ID images from your computer or phone immediately after uploading, as it’s not safe to store them digitally.
