Pretend you are going to print the file. When selecting a printer, choose "Save as PDF" instead. Save it to your desktop or another easy-to-find location.
Alternatively, you can export the file as a PDF. Open the document and, under File (or "Archive" for Mac), select "Export (as PDF)." Finally, save it (choose "PDF" under Format).
