In the report, you are asked to specify your nationality and tax residency, including where you are tax resident.

What is a TIN number?

TIN stands for Tax Identification Number. It is the number used to identify taxable citizens in individual countries. The Danish version of this is the CPR number.

Why must the TIN number be provided in the report?

Danish financial institutions are required to know their customers thoroughly—particularly regarding financial matters and cash flows. This requirement is imposed by legislation from the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and the Data Protection Agency, which are in place to combat money laundering and terrorism financing in the EU. Where association customers pay their taxes is the type of data that financial institutions must collect.
