When uploading minutes, we ask that you upload it as a PDF file. This is because other file formats cannot be signed.
Bylaws and financial statements must be in either Word or PDF format.
File formats that cannot be used include JPEG, JPG, and PNG. These are image formats, so if you have taken a picture of the document, the file is most likely in one of these formats.
If the document is in the wrong format, you can try doing one of the following three things:
1. Online conversion tool
Use an online conversion tool like PDF Resizer. Here, you can convert from image formats (e.g., JPEG or PNG) to PDF, merge PDFs, and compress PDFs if they are too large for our system. It typically works by first selecting and uploading the file. Afterward, you can download it again in the new format.
If it's about resizing the file, choose the file size you want. Do not choose the smallest file size, as the file often becomes too low in quality to be readable. Choose the next smallest instead.
2. Save as PDF from Word or Google Docs
If you have the minutes saved in Word on your computer, you can save the file as a PDF when you save it to your computer. You will be given the option under "Save as," where you need to change the file format to "PDF" in the drop-down menu. On a Mac, it's called "Export" when you want to save as a PDF (or change to another file format).
In Google Docs, within Google Drive, you can export the file as a PDF.
3. Insert an image of the minutes into a word processor
If you only have an image of the minutes, such as in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format, you can insert the image into your word processor (Word or Google Docs). You can either click "Insert" in the word processor or drag the image into the document. Then, drag the corners of the image to make it fill the entire page (minus a couple of centimeters on each side). Afterward, download or export it as a PDF file.
