When your association has registered a new member and assigned a membership fee, the member will receive two emails:
One email informs them that they have been assigned a membership fee. This is for informational purposes only.
The other email instructs the member to create a user account. This email includes a button labeled "Create User." The member must click this button and sign up as a user on Unioo using their email and a password.
This user account is linked to the individual, not the association. If the member joins other associations through Unioo, the same username and password will apply.
Once the user account has been created, a window will immediately appear, allowing the member to register their payment card for paying their membership fee. This only applies if the association has assigned them a membership fee during registration.
The member must register their payment card. The transfer for the membership fee will only be processed once the member approves it with their MitID. Remember, the approval is only complete after the member swipes in the MitID app and returns to the Unioo page.
After this, the system will show that the membership fee has been paid.
Did it not work?
If there are issues, they might be due to the following reasons:
The member forgot the first step of creating a user account. The member is listed as "Pending" in the association's system. Creating a user account is ALWAYS the first step.
The member accidentally created a different user account. As an individual can only have one user account, creating or deleting additional accounts can disrupt the system, causing issues with fees and payment cards. Associations can remove a member and reactivate them if necessary, but this should not be used as a solution to payment problems.
The member failed to register in time, and their membership and payment were canceled. The system will display "Error" next to the member's name. In this case, the association can reactivate the membership, triggering a new invoice for the membership fee.
The member created a user account but hasn’t paid. They will appear as "in arrears" on the association’s page. If payment is not made in time, the membership will be canceled. The association can reassign the membership fee.
There may be issues with MitID. If this happens, try using a different browser, computer, or phone. You can also try again later in the day. IMPORTANT: Return to the Unioo page after swiping in the MitID app, or the signature won’t be registered. If you are exempt from using MitID, contact our customer service.
